Encouragement Poems – Answering Prayers

by Jason on November 12, 2006

Praying with focused intent, marching through life
Hoping my prayers will be answered, my dreams come true
Gathering and organizing the blueprints
I arrange each piece of the puzzle in order

After a while, the project has been completed
My prayers have been answered as I hoped they would be
My faith increases as the process continues
The blessings flow in, overflowing my bin

Even through hardships, I receive what I need
Thanking the Giver I remember to do
Just when I think no greater blessing could there be
Into a higher realm I unknowingly pass

I continue on through life just like before
Praying with faith, moving forward with action
Doing, to me, what comes most naturally
Until I come to the end, completing the task

But this time someone’s there waiting for me
She comes to embrace me and thank me profusely
“Friend, are you aware of what you’ve just done?
“I’ve been waiting for years, and you’ve answered my prayers”

That was the day I remember quite well
My eyes were opened to a higher perspective
Sure, receiving answers to prayers, it is nice
And receiving blessings is quite rewarding

But being an answer for somebody else
Because of my actions and faithfulness
And being guided unaware by the Lord
While orchestrating was He His wonderful plan

Is an exquisite feeling I had never before known
Rejuvenating my heart, breathing new life
Until I see the greatest miracle of all
The warm feeling inside from serving another
